CERT/CC has released information on the Server Message Block (SMB) vulnerability affecting Microsoft Windows. Exploitation of this vulnerability can allow attacker to cause denial of service or take control of the system. At this moment there is no known patch, however a mitigation technique can be used by filtering the SMB known ports such as TCP 139 and 445 and UDP ports 137 and 138. For more Information: Click here
