TZ-CERT is a short form for Tanzania Computer Emergence Response Team, a national team responsible for coordinating response to cyber security incidents at the national level and cooperates with regional and International entities involved with the management of cyber security incidents.
TZ-CERT is within the structure of Tanzania Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TCRA).
TZ-CERT constituents; people or organizations that the TZ-CERT is designed to serve or support that includes: 1: Government 2: Critical ICTs Infrastructure 3: Defense and Security 4: Financial and Banking institutions 5: Academic institutions 6: General public

The TZ- CERT offices are accessible Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
Can be any real or suspected adverse event in relation to the security of computer systems or computer networks to the act of violating an explicit or implied security policy. The incidents could include activity such as
1. Attempts to gain unauthorized access to a system or its data.
2. Unwanted disruption or denial of service.
3. Unauthorized use of a system for the processing or storage of data.
4. Changes to system hardware, firmware, or software characteristics without the owner’s knowledge, instruction, or consent.
