Microsoft is ending support for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 on 14 January, 2020. From this date Windows server 2008 and Windows server 2008 R2 will no longer receive free security updates on-premises, security updates, free support options and online technical content updates. Computers running unsupported version of software is exposed into a risk of being attacked. Users and administrators are encouraged to note released Microsoft End of Support page and apply necessary updates.
